New book correction

Did you get the new book and notice something odd? Our printers messed up and printed page 151 twice, so you're missing page 145. Here's the recipe from that page. Sorry for any inconvenience!


coconut fudge


This is a barely sweet, coconuty fudge. Feel free to add in some shredded coconut or nuts if you like your fudge chunky, and more maple syrup if you want it sweeter. You can also halve the recipe and make it in a loaf pan if you’d prefer. To save money, you can make your own coconut butter if you have a Vitamix (or other high-powered blender). Check out our coconut products page for instructions (page 3).


2 cups coconut butter

1 cup coconut milk

¾ cup raw cacao powder

¼ cup maple syrup

2 teaspoons vanilla

½ teaspoon salt


Melt coconut butter together with the coconut milk. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until well combined. Spread into a parchment-lined 8 by 8-inch pan and refrigerate for a few hours until solid. Cut into 1-inch squares.


Makes 64 1-inch squares.
